Our 2-day package handles the whole loop from Shillong or Guwahati: the drive through tea country, your lodge, safari bookings in the best ranges, and an evening bonfire. Dawn on a safari jeep in the elephant grass is worth every kilometre.

Kaziranga Tour — FAQ
Updated July 2026
When is Kaziranga open for safaris?+
The park opens from about 1 November to 30 April. It stays closed during the monsoon months (May–October) when the Brahmaputra floods the grasslands.
Jeep safari or elephant safari — which should I pick?+
Jeep safaris last about 2 hours and cover far more ground, so they suit most visitors. Elephant safaris are a 1-hour dawn experience with very limited government slots — tell us early and we'll try to reserve one.
Can the trip start from Guwahati instead of Shillong?+
Yes — Kaziranga is about 193 km (4 hours) from Guwahati and ~250 km from Shillong. We pick up from either city, or from the airport directly.
What animals will we see?+
One-horned rhinos are near-guaranteed, along with wild elephants, water buffalo, swamp deer and hundreds of bird species. Tigers live here in good numbers but sightings are a matter of luck.
How much does the Kaziranga package cost?+
Quotes depend on your group size, lodge category and starting point (Shillong or Guwahati), so we price each trip personally. WhatsApp your dates and group size to +91 98637 89990 for an exact quote the same day.
